DELORES BROWN
Executive Director
Delores Brown leads the Southeast Affordable Housing Administration (SAHA) in its mission to preserve and expand affordable housing for low-income populations throughout Greenville County and, eventually, the entire State of South Carolina. With over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Delores brings exceptional leadership skills and extensive experience to her role.

Delores began her career as a registered nurse, developing a deep commitment to advocating for children and families. Her background in healthcare and community service has equipped her with exemplary managerial, supervisory, and people skills. Known for her innovative thinking and strong communication abilities, Delores is a highly respected figure in South Carolina.
Delores has been the Executive Director at Southeast Affordable Housing Administration since February 2022, overseeing the preservation of approximately 8,700 affordable housing units in South and North Carolina. Additionally, she has served as the Founding Executive Pastor at Victory Christian Life Center since March 2004.
Her tenure at Sunbelt Human Advancement Resources, Inc. (SHARE), from April 1996 to February 2023, involved managing preschool health and nutritional services for Head Start and Early Head Start children in Greenville, Anderson, and Pickens counties, along with grant writing and human resources management.
Throughout her career, Delores has been an effective advocate for quality community services and better lives for children and families. She has built strong partnerships, particularly in the healthcare sector, and promoted the quality of life for those facing economic and social challenges.
Delores is deeply committed to volunteerism, contributing her expertise to various nonprofit organizations across the state. She has served on the Hispanic Alliance and the Greenville Affordable Housing Coalition and is an advisory committee member for SHARE and ECPI University.
Delores holds an Associate degree in Nursing from Greenville Technical College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Her dedication to community service and extensive experience make her a pivotal leader in advancing SAHA's mission.
ANTHONY B. THOMPSON
General Counsel
Anthony B. Thompson Jr. is a distinguished legal professional with a comprehensive background in real estate law, corporate governance, and affordable housing. As the General Counsel for SAHA, Anthony is pivotal in guiding the organization’s legal strategies and ensuring regulatory compliance to advance SAHA's mission of fostering affordable housing in the southeastern United States.

Anthony holds a Juris Doctor (JD) with honors from Emory University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, with a focus on Finance and Real Estate. His academic journey began at Furman University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science. This diverse educational background has equipped Anthony with a unique perspective on legal and financial matters. This unique perspective not only sets him apart but also reassures SAHA’s partners about his ability to navigate the complexities of the real estate and housing sectors.
Before joining SAHA, Anthony previously served as a Senior Associate at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, specializing in complex commercial real estate transactions and corporate law. His work included negotiating development deals, structuring joint ventures, and advising on compliance – experience that now supports his thoughtful approach to housing and community development.
Beyond his legal expertise, Anthony is deeply committed to community service and ongoing professional growth. He actively contributes to legal and housing organizations and shares his knowledge to support equitable, affordable housing efforts across the region.
As General Counsel, Anthony combines his legal and financial background with a genuine passion for mission-driven work. His steady guidance ensures that SAHA’s projects and partnerships are not only legally sound but also aligned with the needs of the communities they are meant to serve.

LAURA PINEROS
Senior Director of Operations
Laura Pineros is the Senior Director of Operations at SAHA, where she oversees programs and day-to-day business operations. She manages the organization’s operational framework, leading the production side of program delivery to ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with SAHA’s mission. Laura brings expertise in multifamily loan processing, housing compliance, and community engagement.

Before joining SAHA, Laura gained extensive experience in both the legal and real estate
sectors, working in law firms and commercial lending environments. She managed both
residential and multifamily loan closings from start to finish, coordinating with underwriting and
origination teams, legal counsel, and title and escrow offices. Her meticulous attention to detail
ensures regulatory compliance and accuracy throughout the loan lifecycle.
Day to day, Laura keeps SAHA’s operations running smoothly, guiding the behind-the-scenes
work that makes the organization’s mission possible. She plays a key role in turning strategy
into action—making sure big ideas are grounded in practical steps and that SAHA’s work
remains impactful, efficient, and deeply connected to its goal of expanding access to affordable
and workforce housing across the Southeast.
Laura’s educational background includes bachelor’s degrees from Eastern Connecticut State
University in criminology, sociology, legal studies, and world languages with a focus on Spanish
and Italian.
